What is your reaction to these resources?

We need time to practice ourselves as professionals. We need access to the technology . We need training in how to use blogs, wiki's, websites and then ongoing support because to do a day long workshop does not make one competent nor comfortable with the new technology. We have to start small then expand. Do a little each year. Another BIG STUMBLING BLOCK is that kids need KEYBOARDING SKILLS. If the kids can't type then these technologies become very cumbersome and time consuming. Need time during professional development to find appropriate websites because to find these resources and design the program takes a lot of time. This time could be spent during grade level meetings, staff meeting times and staff development days. Another thing we needs is a scope and sequence where do we start with these skills and at what grade do you introduce each.

It feels a bit overwhelming. Good to know its out there, but I need one at a time with lots of time for practice.

Thanks for compiling a list of sites to check out. Many good ones; many that would be great to pass along to parents - math and summer reading ideas.

Mrs. Renz is my new heroine as a fourth grade teacher! Visit her website... it is out of this world. I would like to clone it. Can I produce anything remotely close to this??? (Andy, can you help?)

I like to see what kind of different websites out there, especially the ones created by teachers. Some of these were hard to navigate.

Any way mine can be put on this list/my blackboard website???:)
